Partnerships for Sustainable
Development in the Black Sea Region

 
  

We are pleased to announce the seminar series “Partnerships for Sustainable Development in the Black Sea Region”. The seminars will be offered in two locations: in Istanbul in September 2009 and in Venice in October 2009.
The programme is financed by the Italian Ministry for the Environment, Land and Sea (IMELS) and jointly coordinated by the Regional Environmental Center (REC), Venice International University (VIU), Istanbul Bilgi University and Agroinnova.

Target Group and Eligible Countries
Mid- to high-level civil servants from central and local governments from Bulgaria, Georgia, Romania, the Russian Federation, Turkey and Ukraine are eligible to apply. Participants representing private sector organisations (such as chambers and sector NGOs) are also encouraged to apply.

Training Fees and Costs
All participation costs, including fees, travel, visas, accommodation and meals (excluding dinner unless otherwise stated) will be covered by the project partners. Partial or full scholarships will be available to participants from the private sector, based on the availability of funding.

Agenda and Application Procedure
Application forms and details of the application procedure are available at www.sustainabilityseminars.info. A selection of applicants nominated by their institutions will be made by an evaluation committee, and the list of participants will be announced by mid-June.  

The deadline for applications is May 29, 2009.
