Go to full description of the project » Outline The ITF supports this long-established REC programme for young NGO activists in Central and Eastern Europe, which offers comprehensive training to develop management capability and leadership skills in managing non-profit organisations and/or environmental projects. The REC and Italian association ‘L'Umana Dimora’ will jointly implement project activities, provide valuable work experience and encourage the exchange of viewpoints and experiences between NGOs from Italy and around the CEE region. The programme is enriched by a study tour in Italy in order to point out some good examples of NGO project implementation and organisational work outside the CEE region. It will also highlight other interesting environmental concerns, such as: preservation of protected areas; water-resource management; sustainable agriculture and eco-tourism; waste management; food product certification; available funding and NGO fundraising in the EU; and energy efficiency.
