Local NGO Pilot Projects to Apply Aarhus 
Convention Principles in Practice

 
  Within the framework of the REReP 2.2 project "Support Developing Strategies for Implementation of the Aarhus Convention"

Scope
Focus on direct implementation of national legislation and one or more provisions of the Aarhus Convention, primarily Arts. 6, 7 & 8:

  • Make an impact in the decision-making process on a national or local level.
  • Provide an mechanism for further development of effective public involvement.
  • Promote dialogue between all the stakeholders involved.
  • Develop good practices and democratic approaches in communities.
  • Help define activities regarding concrete and specific decision-making processes.

Target
Registered non-profit, non-governmental organizations (NGOs) from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, FYR Macedonia, Romania, and Serbia and Montenegro.
