During Spring 2001 an extensive questionnaire and
interview survey was
conducted among environmental NGOs in South Eastern Europe. The survey had
multiple purposes:

To collect information to determine the country-specific focus
of this project.

To inform NGOs about this project and invite them to
participate.

To invite NGOs' input and recommendations.
Based on the survey results each project
partner prepared a short country report. These country reports form the
basis of the "Networks at Work" publication, which serves as a reference document for later
project implementation and decision-making.
