Over 300 cities, towns, counties, and associations from around the world are Members of the Council. Sustainable Santiago's goal was to contribute to a healthy natural environment, a livable, people-centred urban environment, and a vibrant economy for residents of Metropolitan Santiago in the 21st century. The project was financed by the project partners and with the support of the Canadian International Development Agency's (CIDA), Canada-Southern Cone Technology Transfer Fund.
