is managed by the Regional Environmental Center for Central
and Eastern Europe (REC) with the support of the Partnership
for Clean Fuels and Vehicles (PCFV) within the United Nations
Environment Programme (UNEP), the United States Environmental
Protection Agency (USEPA) and the Netherlands Ministry of
Housing, Spatial Planning and the Environment (VROM). more>>
This resource site is part of a project funded by the USEPA, PCFV
and VROM and implemented by REC in 2005.
The project provided background information on air quality
legislation, fuels and vehicles for a policy formulation workshop
and conference held 25-26 and 27-28 October, 2005 in Szentendre,
Hungary.
Participants developed a
joint conclusions document
prioritizing future actions in the region with regard to lead
phaseout, sulphur reduction in fuels, and cleaner vehicles and
vehicle technology. |
