Visit the Arboretum   The Government of Hungary assigned the right to the use of the current property as the location of the Regional Environmental Center for Central and Eastern Europe (REC) for 99 years in the form of an in-kind contribution in 1995. With the support of the Italian Ministry for the Environment, Land and Sea, the comprehensive reconstruction of the garden began in 2005 and was completed in 2007. The design was created by Agroinnova Italy. To launch the reconstruction, the first tree was planted by H.E. Katalin Szili, speaker of the Hungarian Parliament, in spring 2005. The garden, which has received the status of arboretum, is open to groups of visitors from schools, kindergartens and other institutions. For further information please call (36-26) 504-000.
