The collection of e-access to information, e-participation and e-justice cases explores the use of modern technologies and applications to promote and spread environmental information, as well as to provide opportunities for public participation in the environmental decision-making process. In particular, the collection of case studies illustrates the efforts being made to employ new technologies to promote the implementation of the Aarhus Convention.

The REC is delighted to announce the launch of the AENEAS project “Attaining Energy-Efficient Mobility in an Ageing Society”. If you are keen to offer sustainable mobility options to older citizens in your city, or if you would like to learn about experiences in other cities, please join us at the forthcoming training workshop in Kraków (Poland) on June 17-18. Young Energy Savers Earth Day – Drawing Contest
Besides other family programmes (concerts, puppet show, riding or natural bird shows) the traditional Earth-Day event of the REC of April 25, 2009 focused on energy efficiency and energy saving technologies.

Call for expressions of interest: Support for developing local environmental action plans in South Eastern Europe
The REC is seeking experts and companies to provide short-term consultancy services for the project "Developing Local Environmental Action Plans in South Eastern Europe".

Call for concept proposals for nutrient reduction best practices
The Living Water Exchange, a GEF/UNDP project promoting the replication of nutrient reduction best practices and collaboration in Central and Eastern Europe, has announced a call for concept proposals to support pilot demonstration projects focused on nutrient reduction practices.
